2000 Toyota Camry 4 Dr LE Sedan f34Camry can be equipped for everything from rugged family life or plush luxury touring, but nothing particularly sexy. Club hopping and canyon carving are not on the menu, though Toyota Racing Development (TRD - how sexy is that acronym? Further evidence supporting our case for truthfulness in advertising.) will sell you a kit that turns this grocery-getter into a competent handler.
Inside, controls and gauges are laid-out nicely in a dated but ergonomically correct dashboard. The switches and stalks all exhibit a solid heft, imparting a sense of quality. Abundant storage areas include a deep center console, door bins, and dashboard bins. Front cup holders accommodate 20-ounce bottles of your favorite beverage. The only downside to this cabin is that you might find the seats uncomfortable.

The Sienna will be offered in five trim levels, the Sienna grade, LE, XLE, Limited and for the first time the SE trim. The new SE offers revised bodywork, "Altezza" style clear tail lamps, 19-inch wheels, firmer suspension and revised steering tuning for a sportier ride. All-wheel-drive is only available with the V6 engine on the LE, XLE and Limited model trims.
The previous 3.5-liter 2GR-FE continues, but for the first time the Sienna offers a four cylinder, the 1AR-FE. An Electric Power Steering (EPS) system replaces the previous hydraulic power steering system. Toyota expects EPA-estimated mileage figures of 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway for models powered by the 4-cylinder engine, 18 mpg city/24 mpg highway for 2WD V6 models ,and 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway for AWD models. An optional tow package for V6 models is rated to tow 3,500 pounds (1,600 kg).
New features include an optional sliding second row with "Lounge Seating" recliner style chairs, a feature previously seen on the Toyota Alphard, Toyota Estima, Toyota Crown, Maybach 57 and 62 and Lexus LS, and Toyota's keyless Smart Key System with push-button start. The rear seat entertainment option now uses a 16.4-inch LCD screen which operates in two view modes, a single 16:9-ratio widescreen or two separate 4:3-ratio split screens with separate wireless headphones.
For safety the back-up camera comes with a new 180º panoramic view. Other new options include a Pre-Collision System (PCS) as well as an automatic highbeam dimmer, Safety Connect and a more advanced stability control system known as Vehicle Integrated Dynamics Management. A driver's knee airbag is now standard as well.
Unlike Chrysler's minivans Toyota decided not to offer a flat folding second row; instead the seats must be removed for extra cargo space. Toyota instead chose larger and heavier second row seats with more padding for comfort. When the second row seats are removed, the bottom of the second row seats, which is similar to a rack, remains attached to the van floor. This means that with second row seats removed, the floor is not flat.
Toyota is the first automaker to offer a factory installed auto-access seat for disabled people. The one-touch rotating, power ascending/descending lift-up seat can lower to within 19 inches of the ground.

Toyota has wisely enabled buyers to purchase the top-line Camry model with the four-cylinder engine. That ought to continue, with the 2012 Camry XLE starting around $27,000. Toyota could be challenged to keep the base price of the 2012 Camry XLE with the V-6 under $30,000, though it may consider that necessary to satisfying marketing and advertising goals. As the top-of-the-line model, the XLE has included in its base price such features as automatic transmission, dual-zone automatic climate control, power moonroof, power driver and passenger seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated mirrors, and Homelink integrated garage-door transmitters. Leather upholstery as a standard features has been exclusive to the XLE V-6 Camry. Of course, options would drive prices higher for all these models.

Pricing for the 2012 Toyota Camry won’t be announced until shortly before the car goes on sale, but a base price range of around $20,300-$29,900 is almost guaranteed. That’s where the bulk of midsize-car business is done and where Camry has delivered great value. (All base prices in this review include the manufacturer’s mandatory destination fee. For 2011 Toyota cars, that fee is $750. The fee may vary for Toyotas purchased in Southeastern and Gulf states.)
In general, the 2012 Camry CE model should start around $21,400 with automatic transmission. One benefit of having a manual-transmission version in the lineup would be a starting price below $20,500 or so – great for snaring buyers conducting price-based Internet searches.
Estimated base price for the 2012 Toyota Camry LE with the four-cylinder engine is around $22,000 with manual transmission, around $23,000 with automatic. Toyota’s track record would suggest the V-6 would continue as an extra-cost upgrade starting at this rung on the model ladder. The 2012 Camry LE with the V-6 engine would likely be priced from around $25,700 and come only with automatic transmission.

The Toyota Camry Solara, also more commonly known as the Toyota Solara, is a mid-size coupe/convertible designed and engineered by Toyota. Created to appeal to a demographic of [slightly] more sport-minded drivers than those who prefer the Toyota Camry sedan, the Camry Solara aspires to blend "sporty" looks and style with spacious practicality. The front-wheel drive Camry Solara is supposed to have a more sporty image than the Camry sedan. However, all models of the Camry Solara only feature the "Solara" portion of the name on exterior emblems, and the "Camry" portion of the name is rarely used when referring to the car in general.

Prior to the production of the Camry Solara, the 2-door version of the Toyota Camry was simply known as the Camry Coupé. It was added to the third generation Camry lineup in 1994 to compete with the Honda Accord and other cars in its class. However, due to it never being nearly as popular as the 4-door sedan of the Camry, the Camry Coupé was dropped in 1997.

In 1999, reviving the goal to compete with other similar coupés, Toyota launched the Camry Solara. Unlike the competing Honda Accord sedan and the Accord Coupe which are updated at the same time, the Solara's development lags behind of that of the Camry sedan by a couple years. Instead of mirroring the now-fourth generation Camry's appearance, the Solara had its own unique design with a swooped roofline, heavily creased sides, and unique front and rear fascia. The second generation, based on the 2002 Camry sedan, debuted in 2004.[1]

When the Camry sedan entered its seventh generation, there were no plans to update the Camry Solara to that platform. The Solara sold below expectations, as it inherited the unexciting handling from its Camry parent.[2] Without a major update in the works, that left the Solara underpowered compared to the new iteration of the sedan. The Solara coupe was discontinued after the 2008 model year, though it was rumored that the coupe would be revived in 2010 albeit on a different platform. The Solara convertible, which accounts for the majority of sales, continued to be produced.[3][4] Then, in June 2009, Toyota announced that the convertible would be discontinued.[5]

Toyota unveiled the 2008 Toyota Sequoia at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show, with sales beginning that following December. Like the previous Sequoia, the new model is based on the new Tundra. However major differences with the Tundra include a fully-boxed frame, a rear independent suspension featuring double wishbones with coil springs for improved ride comfort and room, and a locking center differential on 4-wheel drive models. The new suspension helps give the Sequoia a tighter turning radius of 19 feet (5.8 m) and allows for a fold-flat rear seat.[2] Toyota stated the new frame is 70 percent more resistant to bending flex with torsional rigidity up 30 percent[3] However, the new model weighs more than 500 lb (230 kg) more than the previous Sequoia. The drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.35.

Improvements include an optional ULEV-II compliant 381 horsepower 5.7-liter 3UR-FE V8, mated to a 6-speed automatic.

The 2008 Sequoia comes in three trim lines: the SR5 and Limited, and new Platinum. Pricing ranges from about $34,000 to $55,000 depending upon the trim line and configuration. The base engine is the previous ULEV complant 4.7-liter 2UZ-FE 276 horsepower (206 kW) V8 featured from the previous generation. The 4.7-liter is standard on the SR5, while the Limited and Platinum models come standard with a 5.7-liter V8 engine. Four-wheel drive is available on all models.

The interior of the 2008 Sequoia features the same dash as the new Tundra. Standard features include a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows and doors, dual sun visors, and a keyless entry. Options include DVD based navigation with backup camera and 7" screen, a rear DVD entertainment system, a 14-speaker JBL audio system, and heated seats with ventilated coolers in the front row and warmers in the second row, available in Platinum trim.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla experiences a minor features revival as part of its midcycle facelift. Basically, some features previously exclusive to XLE and XLR filter into the 2011 LE and S models. And though leather upholstery and a navigation system are no longer available, Corolla moves into the 21st century by finally offering a USB iPod interface and Bluetooth hands-free mobile-phone connectivity.
Air conditioning, a tilt/telescope steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat, power mirrors, intermittent windshield wipers, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seatback are included even on the Base Corolla. And for model-year 2011, the Base Corolla, as well as the LE and S, have a useful multi-information display in the instrument cluster that includes readouts for outside temperature, instant fuel economy, average fuel economy, average speed, and travel distance.

Niceties such as power windows remain optional on the Base model. They’re standard on the 2011 Corolla LE, which you’ll need to buy if you desire a Corolla with power locks, remote keyless entry, and cruise control. From the XLE’s standard equipment list the 2011 Corolla LE inherits variable intermittent wipers.  The 2011 Corolla S adds to the LE the aforementioned exterior add-ons, 16-inch alloys, and “sport” steering wheel, plus better-bolstered front bucket seats and metallic-style cabin trim.<script

The base Camry Hybrid can be had for about $26,575. Our recent tester came with such “boring” add-ons as leather package, power moonroof, voice-activated DVD navigation, JBL audio system and hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth wireless. This adds up to about $33,150.
So the 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid is “boring” huh? Apparently, boring is good.

The 2011 Toyota RAV4 ranks 4 out of 23 Affordable Compact SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 73 published reviews and test drives of the Toyota RAV4, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Reviewers call the 2011 Toyota RAV4 one of the most practical and family-friendly SUVs you can buy.  While the interior feels cheap compared to the competition, the RAV4 makes up for it by offering seating for up to seven and a powerful V6 engine option.
While Helen of Troy had a face that launched a thousand ships, the Toyota RAV4 has the combination of size, fuel economy and utility that launched a thousand compact SUVs. Most reviewers regard the RAV4 as the model that took compact SUVs from a niche product for off-road enthusiasts to family-friendly station wagon alternatives. The 2011 Toyota RAV4, reviewers say, continues that tradition.
"Spacious, comfortable and easy to drive, the 2011 Toyota RAV4 is a top pick for a small-to-midsize crossover SUV, especially if you want a V6 or a usable kid-size third-row seat,” says Edmunds. While some reviewers say its design is starting to date (a redesign is rumored for 2012), most agree that the RAV4 offers some features competitors can’t match. In particular, reviewers like the optional V6 engine. It’s more powerful than most other engines in the class, but still gets pretty good fuel economy. The optional third-row seat also helps the RAV4 stand out. Reviewers say it’s cramped and best for kids, but it does give the RAV4 a leg up on the competition when it comes to carpool duty.
While the RAV4 launched the segment, the competition is starting to catch up. Several other options in the class offer nicer interiors, more interior features and lower prices. If you like the RAV4, reviewers say you’ll likely be happy with it. Just make sure you shop the competition as the RAV4 is no longer the only compact SUV game in town.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the Camry sedan an overall rating of "good" in both frontal offset and side impact crash tests.[79] Both tests also receive the "good" rating in all 14 measured categories,[80][81] and is also rated "good" in the roof strength test with a 5.31 strength-to-weight ratio withstanding a peak force of 7,978 kilograms (17,590 lb).[82] The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) originally rated the XV40 the full five-star rating for the frontal driver, frontal passenger, side driver, and side rear passenger tests, and a four-star rating for the rollover test.[83] However, under the new NHTSA testing methodology introduced in 2010, the 2011 model year XV40 was downgraded to a three-star rating.[84] This overall vehicle score was broken down into the frontal barrier crash rating of four-stars for the driver (male), and two-stars for the front passenger (female), giving an overal front-impact protection rating of three-stars. A side barrier rating of five-stars for the driver (male), and two-stars for the front passenger (female), gave for an overall side-impact protection rating of three-stars. The third testing component, the rollover rating, resulted in a grading of four-stars.[85][86] Testing conducted by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) resulted in the Camry XV40 receiving a four-star safety rating or a score of 27.53 out of 37. Dual frontal airbags were fitted to the model tested.[87] ANCAP later tested the hybrid variant fitted with additional side and curtain airbags. The hybrid also scored four-stars, although did achieve a higher 28.22-point grading.[88] The 2010 edition of Monash University's Used Car Safety Ratings, found that the XV40 provides an "excellent" (five out of five stars) level of occupant safety protection in the event of an accident.[89]

Toyota improved the Camry's safety by increasing the XV40's structural rigidity.[77] This has been achieved through the application of ultra high-tensile steel, which is hot-stamped to the Camry's roof, A- and B-pillars, and rocker panels. The structure of the front seats mounts have been designed to transfer side collision impact loads across the car.[78]

The Toyota Highlander was one of the first midsize "crossover" sport-utilities to appear on the scene. With its carlike unibody design, the original Highlander provided a variety of benefits over Toyota's more traditional SUVs, such as better handling, less cabin noise, improved crashworthiness and easier entry and exit for passengers.
Like most crossovers, the Toyota Highlander appeals to consumers who want an SUV image, cargo-carrying versatility and carlike driving characteristics. Think of the Highlander as an elevated, oversize Camry wagon dressed for the great outdoors, and you've got the general idea.
Redesigned for the 2008 model year, the current Toyota Highlander is a bit larger than its predecessor and features updated styling, a more powerful V6 engine and other new features. But even the first-generation Highlander remains one of the better values for individuals and families who need a comfortable, easy-to-drive vehicle that can carry a fair amount of cargo, handle occasional snow and ice during the winter months and still turn in adequate fuel economy.

Toyota Kingdom

The present Toyota Highlander represents the second-generation model, which was introduced for 2008. It's significantly bigger than the previous model in nearly every way, adding shoulder room, hiproom and legroom all around as well as additional cargo capacity.
The first-generation Toyota Highlander debuted for the 2001 model year. It was powered by either a 155-hp four-cylinder engine or a 220-hp 3.0-liter V6. A four-speed automatic transmission was standard. In 2004 the V6 was bumped up to 3.3 liters and 230 hp, and models so equipped received a five-speed automatic transmission, while four-cylinder models soldiered on with the four-speed unit (and 5 extra hp). Available trim levels were base, Sport and Limited.
Base models came equipped with a respectable amount of equipment, including air-conditioning, power accessories, cruise control and a CD player. The Sport trim spiced things up with 17-inch alloys, a sport-tuned suspension, foglights, a power driver seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter. The Limited added heated outside mirrors, power front seats, a fold-flat third-row seat (as of 2004) and an upgraded JBL sound system. Popular options included leather seating, an in-dash CD changer, a towing package and -- on the Limited model only -- a navigation system.
Shoppers interested in a used Toyota Highlander might want to confine their search to 2004 models and newer, not just because of the power increase, but also because a third-row seat and rear DVD entertainment system were newly available, enabling the Highlander to remain competitive with the strengthening crop of midsize crossover SUVs. Other significant changes for '04 included the addition of stability control and a tire-pressure warning system as standard equipment, as well as newly optional side curtain airbags for the first and second rows, which became standard on '07 models.

2011 Toyota Prius options, the Solar Roof Package combines a power sliding glass moonroof with solar panels. It can collect enough energy to run an air-circulation fan while the car is parked, thereby reducing air-conditioning loads.
The optional Advance Technology Package includes Dynamic Cruise Control to maintain a set distance from traffic ahead; Intelligent Park Assist that automatically backs the Prius into a parallel parking space; Lane Keep Assist that steers the car back into the intended highway lane; and Pre-Collision that cinches seatbelts and pre-applies the brakes in an impending crash.
The Navigation Package option includes a voice activated touch-screen DVD navigation syste with rearview camera, XM satellite radio with NavTraffic (includes 90-day subscription), and USB iPod interface.
Prius’s cabin design is efficient and modern. It’s nicely assembled from high-quality materials. Most controls are logically arrayed. The digital instrumentation is comprehensively displays real-time gas-electric power flow and various fuel-consumption data. But its central dashtop placement isn’t ideal, some of its graphics are too small or poorly lit, and, oddly, there’s no readout for instantaneous fuel economy. The navigation system is excellent, with a big, clear screen and sensitive voice-recognition software that can search for restaurants and stores by brand name.

Base-price range for the 2011 Toyota Prius is $23,810-$29,080. That represents a roughly $1,000 increase per model over initial model-year 2010 base prices. (All base prices in this review include the manufacturer’s mandated destination fee; Toyota’s destination fee for the 2011 Prius is $760. Note that Toyotas sold in some Southeastern and Gulf states are delivered by independent distributors and may carry different destination fees.)
The 2011 Toyota Prius Two has a base price of $23,810 and comes with the standard equipment listed in the Features section above.
The 2011 Toyota Prius Three starts at $24,810 and adds a standard JBL audio system with eight speakers, two more than in the Prius Two, plus Bluetooth cell-phone and music-streaming connectivity. Eligibility for the optional navigation system, at $1,930, and the Solar Roof Package, at $3,730, begins with the Prius Three.

2011 Ford Ranger and the 2011 Mazda BT-50 as well. We will do a special posting over the weekend from the release.
The significance of the 'Ranger T6' is that it is being developed by Ford Australia and to be sold everywhere else in the world - which makes it unique. Nationality aside I'm sure everyone reading this will be wondering how good it will be.
Special update from the show here are pictures of both the yet to be released all new Ford Ranger and its twin the Mazda BT-50. It will probably be at least another 12 months since the Ford is clearly a non-working example whilst surprisingly the BT-50 appeared to be a complete working model.
Note that I was told that the designs are still subject to change!

2011 Ford BT-50

2011 Mazda BT-50
We prefer the demo of the design of the Mazda BT-50 which was very car like and has better proportions. The rear of the BT-50 though is over the top for a ute. The 2011 Ford Ranger interior was more commercial and in line with Ford cars. The Ford Ranger is boring to look at.

The 2011 Toyota Camry’s base price range is $20,480-$30,130, which represents an increase of about 1.5 percent over 2010-model-year prices. The 2011 Camry’s base prices start slightly below comparable models in the lineups of such key rivals as the 2011 Honda Accord and 2011 Chevrolet Malibu and marginally over those of similar 2011 Ford Fusion models. However, all these cars are subject to frequent factory incentives and benefit from tough dealer competition. In addition, options can cause actually transaction prices to vary significantly.
Base price for the 2011 Toyota Camry CE model (Toyota sometimes refers to this as the “base” or “Standard” Camry) is $20,480 with manual transmission and $21,530 with automatic. (All base prices in this review include the manufacturer’s mandatory destination fee. Toyota’s fee for the 2011 Camry is $760. The fee may vary for Toyotas purchased in Southeastern and Gulf states.)
Base price for the 2011 Toyota Camry LE with the four-cylinder engine is $21,935 with manual transmission, $22,958 with automatic. The 2011 Camry LE with the V-6 engine starts at $25,650 and comes only with automatic transmission. Among standard features the Camry LE model adds to the CE is remote keyless entry and a power driver’s seat. And all Camry V-6 models have chromed-tipped dual-exhaust outlets.
The 2011 Camry SE base price is $23,250 for four-cylinder models equipped with manual transmission and $24,250 with automatic. The 2011 Camry SE V-6 starts at $26,241 and comes only with automatic transmission. Among standard features the Camry SE adds to the LE model are the 17-inch alloy wheels, unique exterior trim and seat fabric, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, aluminum door sills and pedals, and – for additional structural rigidity – a fixed-back rear seat with a center pass-through instead of a folding seatback.

2009 Corolla LE (US)
The Toyota Corolla is a line of subcompact/compact cars manufactured by the Japanese automaker Toyota, which has become very popular throughout the world since the nameplate was first introduced in 1966. In 1997, the Corolla became the best selling nameplate in the world, with over 35 million sold as of 2007.[2] Over the past 40 years, one Corolla car has been sold on average every 40 seconds.[3] The series has undergone several major redesigns.

The name Corolla is part of Toyota's naming tradition of using the name Crown for primary models: the Corona, for example, gets its name from the Latin for crown; Corolla is Latin for small crown; and Camry is an Anglicized pronunciation of the Japanese for crown, kanmuri.

Corollas are manufactured in Japan and in Brazil (Indaiatuba, São Paulo), Canada (Cambridge, Ontario), China (Tianjin), India (Bangalore), Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom (Derbyshire) and Venezuela. Production has previously been made in Australia (Victoria). Production in the United States (Fremont, California) ended in March 2010.[4]

The Corolla's chassis designation code is "E", as described in Toyota's chassis and engine codes.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla lineup again begins with the entry-level Base version and returns better-outfitted LE and S models. The smartest buy should continue to be the 2011 Toyota Corolla LE, which justifiably has accounted for more than half of Corolla sales. It’s visually distinguished from the Base Corolla by outside mirrors that are body-color instead of black. Both models continue with 15-inch steel wheels, though their wheel-cover design is new for model-year 2011.
Keeping alive the sporty styling spirit of the departed Corolla XRS, the 2011 Corolla S gains fancy multi-reflector headlamps, front and rear spoilers, lower-body aero trim, and a chrome-tipped exhaust. It doesn’t have the XRS’s bigger engine, sport suspension, or 17-inch tires on alloy wheels. But its 16-inch tires now ride on five-spoke alloys instead of on steel wheels capped with plain-Jane wheel covers.
The theme of subtle revision carries through to the cabin of the 2011 Corolla. All three models get new cloth seat patterns and colors, altered graphics intended to make some instruments easier to read, and new shades of dashboard trim. The 2011 Corolla S model also gets a sportier new steering wheel with metallic accents and audio controls

The Toyota FJ Cruiser offers a new trail-oriented Trail Teams Special Edition Package each model year; for 2011, the Trail Teams Special Edition is distinguished by a distinct Army Green exterior color, special green fabric trimmed seating and interior trim and a standard Off-Road Package.
The FJ Cruiser uniquely melds the brand’s off-road performance legacy with distinct heritage design in a modern SUV.  Additional changes for 2011 bolster the model’s off-road bona fides while enhancing interior comfort and convenience.  A locking rear differential is now standard with the six-speed manual transmission; it remains available as an option with the automatic transmission.
The 2011 FJ Cruiser offers improved passenger side walk-in, with a front passenger seat that can fold further forward. New folding headrests on the outboard rear seats help to improve rearward visibility, and heater performance is improved. The available 17-inch alloy wheel design is new.
The new standard audio system features an AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, six speakers, XM Radio (includes 90-day trial subscription), auxiliary audio jack, USB port with iPod connectivity, hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology. The steering wheel now integrates audio system and Bluetooth controls for added ease of use. A JBL 10-speaker premium audio system, including sub woofer, is newly optional (standard on Trail Teams Special Edition).

The Toyota Prius 2011 would be competing against the likes of  Ford Fusion Hybrid, Honda Insight and its stable mate the Toyota Camry Hybrid. The  price range is expected to be around $21,995-$28,300. The Honda Insight has a base price of $20,510 and even though the Toyota is pricier than the Honda, it gives an immediate buck for your money. It is the pinnacle of automotive technology while giving you a clear conscience that you are doing your bit in conserving your environment and probably giving the polar bears a month or so of restful sleep everytime you drive a hybrid or electric car.

The 2011 Toyota RAV4 crossover SUV is available with a fuel-efficient 2.5 liter, four-cylinder engine that racks up a healthy 22 city/28 highway MPG and a slightly less gas stingy V-6 that still logs in an impressive 27 highway MPG. The highest fuel efficiency ratings are on the two-wheel drive versions but the four-wheel drive models only drop a single MPG on both the four-cylinder and the V6. Not bad for a vehicle that will seat 5 comfortably or even 7 with the optional 3rd row seating. The 2011 RAV4 is expected to have the following specs:

The two engine choices available include a 2.5-liter V4 that generates 179 horsepower or a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 269 horsepower.  All RAV4s buyers can choose between either a front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The smaller engine has a four-speed automatic standard, while the larger engine has a five-speed automatic as standard and that is available on the smaller engine as an option. 22 miles per gallon city and 28 on the highway.  Zero to sixty timing of 7.2 seconds for the larger engine.

    * Car Safety Features: The RAV4 comes standard with stability and traction control, front seat side airbags, antilock disc brakes, full-length side curtain airbags and active head restraints on the front seats. The RAV4 wasn’t quite able to achieve perfect scoring in government crash tests for 2010. Every category except the frontal passenger rating got five out of five stars, but that one received only four out of five. Due to these results, pupils of an educational facility may be able to qualify for cheap student car insurance.
    * Warranty: Toyota’s warranty is for 3-years/36,000 miles.

The IntelliChoice 5-Year Cost of Ownership for the Toyota RAV4 is, not surprisingly, “Excellent” across all of the models.

The 2011 Toyota Sienna may be the Japanese automaker's third-generation minivan, but Toyota emphasizes that the new Sienna is becoming more carlike than ever. The Sienna gets smart updates to its drivetrains and to its interior package for 2011-but not to its seating configurations, which still lag the class-leading Dodge Grand Caravan and Nissan Quest in flexibility. The Sienna is offered in a broad model range, and continues to be the only minivan with an all-wheel-drive option. Toyota says the base price of the 2011 Sienna will come in below the current vehicle's $25,000 price point. Available in front- or all-wheel-drive versions, with either a four- or six-cylinder engine and in seven- or eight-passenger versions, the new Sienna will go on sale in February 2010. Competition includes the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country, the Kia Sedona, the Nissan Quest and the Honda Odyssey.

The 2011 Sienna has new body panels with a more dynamic front end, but it's nothing to draw a flashmob or attract civil disobedience. A wide grille is framed either in body-color paint or in metallic trim; SE versions get a very aggressive front-end treatment. There's a sharper crease along its shoulders and geometrically bold windows, and as the lines taper rearward, the Sienna draws to a roofline that's similar to that on the Kia Sedona. The 2011 Sienna rides on the same chassis as the previous generation, so while it's marginally shorter and wider than before, there's not a tremendous change in its proportions. Inside, the Sienna has adopted the latest Toyota styling theme, with a dramatic arc separating driving controls from secondary and passenger-shared controls. The dash is styled to give the impression of more passenger space, and Toyota says slimmer seats and controls add to the feeling of roominess in the new Sienna. The interior looks less expensive than before, though. Plastic trim is replaced on some versions by matt woodgrain trim; pricier versions get Optitron gauges like those in some Lexus models.
