The 2011 Toyota Corolla experiences a minor features revival as part of its midcycle facelift. Basically, some features previously exclusive to XLE and XLR filter into the 2011 LE and S models. And though leather upholstery and a navigation system are no longer available, Corolla moves into the 21st century by finally offering a USB iPod interface and Bluetooth hands-free mobile-phone connectivity.
Air conditioning, a tilt/telescope steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat, power mirrors, intermittent windshield wipers, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seatback are included even on the Base Corolla. And for model-year 2011, the Base Corolla, as well as the LE and S, have a useful multi-information display in the instrument cluster that includes readouts for outside temperature, instant fuel economy, average fuel economy, average speed, and travel distance.
Niceties such as power windows remain optional on the Base model. They’re standard on the 2011 Corolla LE, which you’ll need to buy if you desire a Corolla with power locks, remote keyless entry, and cruise control. From the XLE’s standard equipment list the 2011 Corolla LE inherits variable intermittent wipers. The 2011 Corolla S adds to the LE the aforementioned exterior add-ons, 16-inch alloys, and “sport” steering wheel, plus better-bolstered front bucket seats and metallic-style cabin trim.<script

The base Camry Hybrid can be had for about $26,575. Our recent tester came with such “boring” add-ons as leather package, power moonroof, voice-activated DVD navigation, JBL audio system and hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth wireless. This adds up to about $33,150.
So the 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid is “boring” huh? Apparently, boring is good.

The 2011 Toyota RAV4 ranks 4 out of 23 Affordable Compact SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 73 published reviews and test drives of the Toyota RAV4, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Reviewers call the 2011 Toyota RAV4 one of the most practical and family-friendly SUVs you can buy. While the interior feels cheap compared to the competition, the RAV4 makes up for it by offering seating for up to seven and a powerful V6 engine option.
While Helen of Troy had a face that launched a thousand ships, the Toyota RAV4 has the combination of size, fuel economy and utility that launched a thousand compact SUVs. Most reviewers regard the RAV4 as the model that took compact SUVs from a niche product for off-road enthusiasts to family-friendly station wagon alternatives. The 2011 Toyota RAV4, reviewers say, continues that tradition.
"Spacious, comfortable and easy to drive, the 2011 Toyota RAV4 is a top pick for a small-to-midsize crossover SUV, especially if you want a V6 or a usable kid-size third-row seat,” says Edmunds. While some reviewers say its design is starting to date (a redesign is rumored for 2012), most agree that the RAV4 offers some features competitors can’t match. In particular, reviewers like the optional V6 engine. It’s more powerful than most other engines in the class, but still gets pretty good fuel economy. The optional third-row seat also helps the RAV4 stand out. Reviewers say it’s cramped and best for kids, but it does give the RAV4 a leg up on the competition when it comes to carpool duty.
While the RAV4 launched the segment, the competition is starting to catch up. Several other options in the class offer nicer interiors, more interior features and lower prices. If you like the RAV4, reviewers say you’ll likely be happy with it. Just make sure you shop the competition as the RAV4 is no longer the only compact SUV game in town.

Toyota Camry G Limited Edition (Japan; pre-facelift)
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the Camry sedan an overall rating of "good" in both frontal offset and side impact crash tests.[79] Both tests also receive the "good" rating in all 14 measured categories,[80][81] and is also rated "good" in the roof strength test with a 5.31 strength-to-weight ratio withstanding a peak force of 7,978 kilograms (17,590 lb).[82] The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) originally rated the XV40 the full five-star rating for the frontal driver, frontal passenger, side driver, and side rear passenger tests, and a four-star rating for the rollover test.[83] However, under the new NHTSA testing methodology introduced in 2010, the 2011 model year XV40 was downgraded to a three-star rating.[84] This overall vehicle score was broken down into the frontal barrier crash rating of four-stars for the driver (male), and two-stars for the front passenger (female), giving an overal front-impact protection rating of three-stars. A side barrier rating of five-stars for the driver (male), and two-stars for the front passenger (female), gave for an overall side-impact protection rating of three-stars. The third testing component, the rollover rating, resulted in a grading of four-stars.[85][86] Testing conducted by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) resulted in the Camry XV40 receiving a four-star safety rating or a score of 27.53 out of 37. Dual frontal airbags were fitted to the model tested.[87] ANCAP later tested the hybrid variant fitted with additional side and curtain airbags. The hybrid also scored four-stars, although did achieve a higher 28.22-point grading.[88] The 2010 edition of Monash University's Used Car Safety Ratings, found that the XV40 provides an "excellent" (five out of five stars) level of occupant safety protection in the event of an accident.[89]
Toyota improved the Camry's safety by increasing the XV40's structural rigidity.[77] This has been achieved through the application of ultra high-tensile steel, which is hot-stamped to the Camry's roof, A- and B-pillars, and rocker panels. The structure of the front seats mounts have been designed to transfer side collision impact loads across the car.[78]

The Toyota Highlander was one of the first midsize "crossover" sport-utilities to appear on the scene. With its carlike unibody design, the original Highlander provided a variety of benefits over Toyota's more traditional SUVs, such as better handling, less cabin noise, improved crashworthiness and easier entry and exit for passengers.
Like most crossovers, the Toyota Highlander appeals to consumers who want an SUV image, cargo-carrying versatility and carlike driving characteristics. Think of the Highlander as an elevated, oversize Camry wagon dressed for the great outdoors, and you've got the general idea.
Redesigned for the 2008 model year, the current Toyota Highlander is a bit larger than its predecessor and features updated styling, a more powerful V6 engine and other new features. But even the first-generation Highlander remains one of the better values for individuals and families who need a comfortable, easy-to-drive vehicle that can carry a fair amount of cargo, handle occasional snow and ice during the winter months and still turn in adequate fuel economy.

The present Toyota Highlander represents the second-generation model, which was introduced for 2008. It's significantly bigger than the previous model in nearly every way, adding shoulder room, hiproom and legroom all around as well as additional cargo capacity.
The first-generation Toyota Highlander debuted for the 2001 model year. It was powered by either a 155-hp four-cylinder engine or a 220-hp 3.0-liter V6. A four-speed automatic transmission was standard. In 2004 the V6 was bumped up to 3.3 liters and 230 hp, and models so equipped received a five-speed automatic transmission, while four-cylinder models soldiered on with the four-speed unit (and 5 extra hp). Available trim levels were base, Sport and Limited.
Base models came equipped with a respectable amount of equipment, including air-conditioning, power accessories, cruise control and a CD player. The Sport trim spiced things up with 17-inch alloys, a sport-tuned suspension, foglights, a power driver seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter. The Limited added heated outside mirrors, power front seats, a fold-flat third-row seat (as of 2004) and an upgraded JBL sound system. Popular options included leather seating, an in-dash CD changer, a towing package and -- on the Limited model only -- a navigation system.
Shoppers interested in a used Toyota Highlander might want to confine their search to 2004 models and newer, not just because of the power increase, but also because a third-row seat and rear DVD entertainment system were newly available, enabling the Highlander to remain competitive with the strengthening crop of midsize crossover SUVs. Other significant changes for '04 included the addition of stability control and a tire-pressure warning system as standard equipment, as well as newly optional side curtain airbags for the first and second rows, which became standard on '07 models.

2011 Toyota Prius options, the Solar Roof Package combines a power sliding glass moonroof with solar panels. It can collect enough energy to run an air-circulation fan while the car is parked, thereby reducing air-conditioning loads.
The optional Advance Technology Package includes Dynamic Cruise Control to maintain a set distance from traffic ahead; Intelligent Park Assist that automatically backs the Prius into a parallel parking space; Lane Keep Assist that steers the car back into the intended highway lane; and Pre-Collision that cinches seatbelts and pre-applies the brakes in an impending crash.
The Navigation Package option includes a voice activated touch-screen DVD navigation syste with rearview camera, XM satellite radio with NavTraffic (includes 90-day subscription), and USB iPod interface.
Prius’s cabin design is efficient and modern. It’s nicely assembled from high-quality materials. Most controls are logically arrayed. The digital instrumentation is comprehensively displays real-time gas-electric power flow and various fuel-consumption data. But its central dashtop placement isn’t ideal, some of its graphics are too small or poorly lit, and, oddly, there’s no readout for instantaneous fuel economy. The navigation system is excellent, with a big, clear screen and sensitive voice-recognition software that can search for restaurants and stores by brand name.
Base-price range for the 2011 Toyota Prius is $23,810-$29,080. That represents a roughly $1,000 increase per model over initial model-year 2010 base prices. (All base prices in this review include the manufacturer’s mandated destination fee; Toyota’s destination fee for the 2011 Prius is $760. Note that Toyotas sold in some Southeastern and Gulf states are delivered by independent distributors and may carry different destination fees.)
The 2011 Toyota Prius Two has a base price of $23,810 and comes with the standard equipment listed in the Features section above.

| 2011 Ford Ranger and the 2011 Mazda BT-50 as well. We will do a special posting over the weekend from the release. The significance of the 'Ranger T6' is that it is being developed by Ford Australia and to be sold everywhere else in the world - which makes it unique. Nationality aside I'm sure everyone reading this will be wondering how good it will be. Special update from the show here are pictures of both the yet to be released all new Ford Ranger and its twin the Mazda BT-50. It will probably be at least another 12 months since the Ford is clearly a non-working example whilst surprisingly the BT-50 appeared to be a complete working model. Note that I was told that the designs are still subject to change! | |||||
2011 Ford BT-50 2011 Mazda BT-50 We prefer the demo of the design of the Mazda BT-50 which was very car like and has better proportions. The rear of the BT-50 though is over the top for a ute. The 2011 Ford Ranger interior was more commercial and in line with Ford cars. The Ford Ranger is boring to look at. | |||||

The 2011 Toyota Camry’s base price range is $20,480-$30,130, which represents an increase of about 1.5 percent over 2010-model-year prices. The 2011 Camry’s base prices start slightly below comparable models in the lineups of such key rivals as the 2011 Honda Accord and 2011 Chevrolet Malibu and marginally over those of similar 2011 Ford Fusion models. However, all these cars are subject to frequent factory incentives and benefit from tough dealer competition. In addition, options can cause actually transaction prices to vary significantly.

The Toyota Corolla is a line of subcompact/compact cars manufactured by the Japanese automaker Toyota, which has become very popular throughout the world since the nameplate was first introduced in 1966. In 1997, the Corolla became the best selling nameplate in the world, with over 35 million sold as of 2007.[2] Over the past 40 years, one Corolla car has been sold on average every 40 seconds.[3] The series has undergone several major redesigns.
The name Corolla is part of Toyota's naming tradition of using the name Crown for primary models: the Corona, for example, gets its name from the Latin for crown; Corolla is Latin for small crown; and Camry is an Anglicized pronunciation of the Japanese for crown, kanmuri.
Corollas are manufactured in Japan and in Brazil (Indaiatuba, São Paulo), Canada (Cambridge, Ontario), China (Tianjin), India (Bangalore), Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom (Derbyshire) and Venezuela. Production has previously been made in Australia (Victoria). Production in the United States (Fremont, California) ended in March 2010.[4]
The Corolla's chassis designation code is "E", as described in Toyota's chassis and engine codes.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla lineup again begins with the entry-level Base version and returns better-outfitted LE and S models. The smartest buy should continue to be the 2011 Toyota Corolla LE, which justifiably has accounted for more than half of Corolla sales. It’s visually distinguished from the Base Corolla by outside mirrors that are body-color instead of black. Both models continue with 15-inch steel wheels, though their wheel-cover design is new for model-year 2011.
Keeping alive the sporty styling spirit of the departed Corolla XRS, the 2011 Corolla S gains fancy multi-reflector headlamps, front and rear spoilers, lower-body aero trim, and a chrome-tipped exhaust. It doesn’t have the XRS’s bigger engine, sport suspension, or 17-inch tires on alloy wheels. But its 16-inch tires now ride on five-spoke alloys instead of on steel wheels capped with plain-Jane wheel covers.
The theme of subtle revision carries through to the cabin of the 2011 Corolla. All three models get new cloth seat patterns and colors, altered graphics intended to make some instruments easier to read, and new shades of dashboard trim. The 2011 Corolla S model also gets a sportier new steering wheel with metallic accents and audio controls

The Toyota Prius 2011 would be competing against the likes of Ford Fusion Hybrid, Honda Insight and its stable mate the Toyota Camry Hybrid. The price range is expected to be around $21,995-$28,300. The Honda Insight has a base price of $20,510 and even though the Toyota is pricier than the Honda, it gives an immediate buck for your money. It is the pinnacle of automotive technology while giving you a clear conscience that you are doing your bit in conserving your environment and probably giving the polar bears a month or so of restful sleep everytime you drive a hybrid or electric car.

The 2011 Toyota RAV4 crossover SUV is available with a fuel-efficient 2.5 liter, four-cylinder engine that racks up a healthy 22 city/28 highway MPG and a slightly less gas stingy V-6 that still logs in an impressive 27 highway MPG. The highest fuel efficiency ratings are on the two-wheel drive versions but the four-wheel drive models only drop a single MPG on both the four-cylinder and the V6. Not bad for a vehicle that will seat 5 comfortably or even 7 with the optional 3rd row seating. The 2011 RAV4 is expected to have the following specs:
The two engine choices available include a 2.5-liter V4 that generates 179 horsepower or a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 269 horsepower. All RAV4s buyers can choose between either a front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The smaller engine has a four-speed automatic standard, while the larger engine has a five-speed automatic as standard and that is available on the smaller engine as an option. 22 miles per gallon city and 28 on the highway. Zero to sixty timing of 7.2 seconds for the larger engine.
* Car Safety Features: The RAV4 comes standard with stability and traction control, front seat side airbags, antilock disc brakes, full-length side curtain airbags and active head restraints on the front seats. The RAV4 wasn’t quite able to achieve perfect scoring in government crash tests for 2010. Every category except the frontal passenger rating got five out of five stars, but that one received only four out of five. Due to these results, pupils of an educational facility may be able to qualify for cheap student car insurance.
* Warranty: Toyota’s warranty is for 3-years/36,000 miles.
The IntelliChoice 5-Year Cost of Ownership for the Toyota RAV4 is, not surprisingly, “Excellent” across all of the models.

The 2011 Toyota Sienna may be the Japanese automaker's third-generation minivan, but Toyota emphasizes that the new Sienna is becoming more carlike than ever. The Sienna gets smart updates to its drivetrains and to its interior package for 2011-but not to its seating configurations, which still lag the class-leading Dodge Grand Caravan and Nissan Quest in flexibility. The Sienna is offered in a broad model range, and continues to be the only minivan with an all-wheel-drive option. Toyota says the base price of the 2011 Sienna will come in below the current vehicle's $25,000 price point. Available in front- or all-wheel-drive versions, with either a four- or six-cylinder engine and in seven- or eight-passenger versions, the new Sienna will go on sale in February 2010. Competition includes the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country, the Kia Sedona, the Nissan Quest and the Honda Odyssey.
The 2011 Sienna has new body panels with a more dynamic front end, but it's nothing to draw a flashmob or attract civil disobedience. A wide grille is framed either in body-color paint or in metallic trim; SE versions get a very aggressive front-end treatment. There's a sharper crease along its shoulders and geometrically bold windows, and as the lines taper rearward, the Sienna draws to a roofline that's similar to that on the Kia Sedona. The 2011 Sienna rides on the same chassis as the previous generation, so while it's marginally shorter and wider than before, there's not a tremendous change in its proportions. Inside, the Sienna has adopted the latest Toyota styling theme, with a dramatic arc separating driving controls from secondary and passenger-shared controls. The dash is styled to give the impression of more passenger space, and Toyota says slimmer seats and controls add to the feeling of roominess in the new Sienna. The interior looks less expensive than before, though. Plastic trim is replaced on some versions by matt woodgrain trim; pricier versions get Optitron gauges like those in some Lexus models.

The 2011 Sienna has a more solid, steady ride than the floatier, more disconnected 2010. The appearance of the redesigned dashboard will not win universal praise, but it's certainly more modern. A new transmission helps boost EPA fuel economy ratings by one mile per gallon, to 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway. And while most crash test results aren't yet out, it's safe to assume that Toyota has managed to make some advances over seven years. The van's seats are also more comfortable – at least in the first and second rows – some new luxury features are now available, and the third row seat requires less effort to stow into the floor.
For the most part, and for many consumers, the redesigned Sienna is a fine minivan made better.
However, the seat's large plastic bases remain in place even after the seats are removed to maximize cargo space – which is up slightly from the 2010's already class-leading 149 cubic feet – which costs the Sienna a flat cargo floor. (Other cargo measures -- behind the third row and behind the middle row seats -- are down slightly in the redesign.) The fore-aft adjustment means these bases can slide almost up to the front seats, but not quite. The protruding plastic also catches the feet of passengers trying to get in and out of the third row, and other General Motors large crossover SUVs is easier to operate.

It's a wagon. It's a crossover. It has cartoony 19-inch dubs, yet has a ride your grandmother would like and a name she'd confuse with a drug she saw advertised during Jeopardy! The 2011 Toyota Venza is a strange creation, one rife with contradictions and difficult to properly define. There is one thing we're sure of, though; it makes a great family vehicle.
The Venza has the basic body dimensions and interior space of a midsize crossover SUV -- think Ford Edge or Nissan Murano -- but with one significant exception: The Venza is nearly 4 inches shorter in height than its rivals, and technically this puts it in the same camp as a wagon, not a crossover. Its wagon-style dimensions also make the Venza feel more like a car from behind the wheel compared to Toyota crossovers like the Highlander and RAV4, although we certainly wouldn't call it athletic. Instead, like other Toyotas, the Venza puts an emphasis on comfort and ease of driving.
The Venza's strange body style isn't the only thing that stands out, however. Unlike with most midsize crossovers, the Venza features a four-cylinder base engine. This provides sufficient power, but given that the bigger V6 achieves similar fuel economy, it would be foolhardy to not at least consider shelling out a few more bucks for the big engine. This is one of the best -- and possibly the top -- V6s in the crossover class. If that weren't incentive enough, going with the V6 gets you even bigger, 20-inch wheels.

Toyota will not announce 2011 Matrix prices until shortly before the car goes on sale. But even with a new engine and possible new transmissions, 2011 Matrix prices won’t climb much above model-year 2010 levels. (Base-price estimates in this review take into account the manufacturer’s mandated destination fee. Toyota’s fee for factory-delivered cars was $750 for model-year 2011; Toyotas in some southeastern states are delivered by independent distributors and may carry different destination fees.)
The best-selling model in the 2011 Matrix line should again be the Standard. Estimated base price for the 2011 Toyota Matrix Standard is $17,450 with the five-speed manual transmission and $18,260 with the four-speed automatic.
Expect 2011 Toyota Matrix S pricing to start around $19,500 with manual transmission, $20,700 with automatic. Power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, a household-type power outlet, and a leather-covered steering wheel with audio controls should again be among S-model upgrades over the Matrix Standard. Estimated base price for the Toyota Matrix S AWD is around $21,800.
The 2011 Toyota Matrix XRS prices would start at an estimated $21,840 with manual transmission, $23,100 with automatic. Positioned as the sportiest Matrix, the XRS has included 18-inch tires instead of its stable mates’ 16s or 17s. And the XRS and the AWD S are the only Matrix models with a handling-oriented independent rear suspension instead of a budget-conscious torsion-beam setup.
Returning as key options for the 2011 Matrix should be a Power Package that brings the Standard model close to S-level equipment for around $1,000. Toyota could decide to add cruise control to the 2011 Matrix Standard or S model instead of charging $250 extra as it did for model-year 2010. A power sunroof should continue as an option on all 2011 Matrix models for around $900. The navigation system will probably again be confined to Matrix S and XRS models, where it has been available for about $1,800 and $1,300, respectively.

The 2011 Toyota Prius features its patented Synergy Drive System, which allows it to discard gas entirely in favor of electric power for typical city speeds. Nickel-metal hydride batteries are responsible for powering the two electric motors. The Prius features a continuously variable transmission and stop / start engine power that allows the Prius to keep driving without having to be plugged in. The Prius that can produce up to 134whorsepower.
With a variety of USB friendly ports and plug-ins, the Prius is highly advanced technologically, with no dearth of options in terms of play-along entertainment. The vehicle features a power sun-roof, dynamic cruise control, and an intelligent air conditioning system which uses power from a solar roof option to spin the interior fan, thereby cutting down on the need to use the air conditioning system. The dashboard is not a graphical wonder, consisting of poorly lit and placed diagrams and dials, but after a driver becomes familiar with the arrangement, it can be easily mastered.

The 2011 Toyota Sequoia is an interesting vehicle for a number of reasons, not the least of which has to do with the wide range of choices a potential buyer will have. There are different editions of this vehicle that will carry along different price tags. Some have complained that the Sequoia is a little bit bland on the outside, but it does offer some enticing positives for people who love powerful SUVs. A definite improvement over previous versions, the Sequoia is worth considering by those in the market for a large, luxury SUV.
Toyota’s MSRP begins at approximately $39,000, and it extends as far as $60,000 for a fully loaded edition. However, based on the last model year’s average paid numbers and Toyota’s plans for aggressive marketing, dedicated shoppers can expect to do far better. The Sequoia is available in three trim levels: the base SR5, the mid-tier Limited, and the full-bore premium Platinum edition. Sequoias are available in either 2WD or 4WD and in the customer’s choice of a 4.6-liter or 5.7-liter V8 motor that Toyota pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Interior features.
The 2011 Toyota Sequoia features all of the swanky things that drivers demand in their luxury SUVs. It has satellite navigation, a DVD player, leather seats, and excellent carpet. Additionally, the new version features a conversation mirror for parents who feel the need to keep an eye on their children in the car. When carrying four or five kids to soccer practice, this can truly come in handy.
Toyota bases the Sequoia on the Tundra, and the Tundra has been busy earning a reputation for an underwhelming interior. The Sequoia, on the other hand, has been busy setting a standard for interiors within its class. The Sequoia’s interior is stylish, modern, convenient, and family-friendly. The conversation mirror is particularly handy for parents who must monitor children while driving.
