The automaker is hoping that the rigors of driving through London will prove that the 60% fuel savings found in the French PHEV testing was not an aberration.....

The Toyota-EDF Energy partnership offers both sides the opportunity to roll out PHEVs quickly. Toyota is planning to offer the Prius PHEV for corporate fleet purchases in Europe by December 2009. If the motor company finds that the UK trials are successful, they will be in a good position to produce additional vehicles to meet customer demand.
