The Prado's existing 3.0 litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine has been upgraded for 2011, power getting a significant bump from 127kW to 141kW, while torque is up slightly from 410Nm to 420Nm between 1600-2800rpm.
The upgraded engine, now compliant with the upcoming Euro V emissions regulations in Europe, also features a new diesel particulate filter.
An optional Executive package has also been added to the European-market Prado, including a glass sunroof, available across the range.
Australian availability of the updated Prado has yet to be announced, however with the all-new Prado arriving less than a year ago, it seems unlikely that this update would arrive before 2011. Toyota Australia has been contacted for further details - watch this space.
